Testimonials

“I am so grateful for Noreen’s expertise and guidance! She has taught me an extremely valuable process of how to reflect on my own feelings and their root causes, to understand the range of complex emotions that I feel, and how to name them and replace them with their opposite positive emotions that heal. Her guidance and techniques have offered me a greater understanding and love for myself and as a parent. “Look, Listen, Love” is based on compassion, honesty, self-acceptance, and love and truly works!  It is easy to do any time of day or place. I highly recommend it to parents of all ages!”

“Noreen has a special way of connecting with children and also their parents. One can instantly feel her deep love and care for children and animals. She embodies immense positivity and empathy. I have been fortunate to build this connection with Noreen where she has been such a positive impact on both my child and myself. Her techniques have been effective and easy to practice, she has helped me find solutions to challenges I have faced.”

“My teenage daughter went through a tough and hard time in her life. She saw Noreen for a couple of sessions and it really helped. Noreen gave her some great tools to use when times got tough again. The sessions also helped her sleep better. She thought about what they had talked about when she was sad and it just made her life easier and less painful at that time. Even now when my daughter is happy again, she knows if she goes through something similar in the future she has the tools to help her through the hard times and that is a big relief and really nice to know.”

“My 3 children attended Noreen’s 5 day summer workshop- where they were connecting with animals and learning how to identify emotions. After the first day, I was able to speak to Noreen about my children and their unique emotional capacities in a way that felt like a family member my children had grown up with, while simultaneously she was able to offer a professional perspective that was beyond my expectations and I came to value tremendously.

Noreen has an ability to see and understand people with humility and love. When she opened her home for parents to offer a talk on Look, Listen, Love: Understanding Triggers- I immediately signed up. Admittedly, I assumed that the class was linked to our children and how we are triggered by parenting conflicts but soon found that the seminar was to teach us about a much broader thought. She was able to show us how our own hidden triggers are effecting every aspect of our lives. She spoke of triggers as the “limit of our compassion” and that realization alone has helped me understand myself and others on another level… for that guidance I am forever grateful.”

“I used to have a massive fear of flying. I would constantly break down in tears before taking off and sometimes mid-flight too- having some extreme panic attacks. however, after a session with Noreen, I have managed to calm myself down before flights and I can actually enjoy them. I’m looking forward to my first transatlantic flight tomorrow thanks to her.”

~ What People are Saying About Look, Listen, and Love ~

Am so very pleased that I have this book, and only wish that I had it when my own children were young! It's about differences, acceptance, and understanding. A wonderful way to talk about worries, and find ways to support.

I absolutely adore the book. I Love the layout and of course the content which made me use it much more frequently because of the ways it is presented and explained in the book. The aesthetics are extremely beautiful and the animals projects so much character.

This is such a special book. The photos are absolutely amazing. I could see it being a favorite in classrooms, child therapy practices, and as a bedtime book for any child having big emotions. The beauty of it is that it normalizes those difficult emotions we all experience such as fear, anxiety or jealousy and offers a simple, easy to practice way working with them. Readers are led through a beautiful journey of meeting animals, one after the next, having an emotional challenge that we can all relate to. The author provides such a simple and yet powerful way for children and adults alike to tune into their emotions and learn to accept them as natural. Adults are not overlooked! After leading a child through the process, adult readers have an opportunity to tune their own emotions too. I highly recommend this book to any parent, child therapist, educator or anyone who works with children in any capacity. I cannot recommend this book enough. ~ Laurie Smith

The messages of this book are so important for children and adults alike. Through beautiful illustrations and relatable examples, this book is a must have for all children, to teach and understand how emotions are normal, whether they are experiencing them themselves, or seeing them in their friends.

Our preschool class loved this book! We enjoyed meeting our animal friends, especially Jolie and Pippi, and learning how they have feelings like ours! We revisited it for several different thematic units. We would love to see more!
